The member Tribes of FPCC discussed the need for a Native American Commission and began researching other State Commissions to prepare our recommendation to the Louisiana Office of the Governor-Department of Indian Affairs. Chief Shirell Parfait-Dardar spoke before the House Committee and explained the importance of establishing the commission and also thanked the House Committee for their continued support of the Tribes and Louisiana Native American citizens. http://www.legis.la.gov/legis/BillInfo.aspx?s=18RS&b=HB660&sbi=y
